Dipotassium phosphate anhydrous occurs as white crystals or amorphous powder. It is anhydrous or contains three molecules of water of hydration. It is hydroscopic that is deliquescent when exposed to moist air. It is sparingly soluble in alcohol but readily soluble in water. Its water solution is alkaline and pH of a 1% solution is about 9. |
