Light Stabilizer-(Free Radical Scavenger)
Applications: CYASORB UV 2908 is an excellent ultraviolet light stabilizer for polyolefins, particularly pigmented opaque formulations. Because of its unique radical scavenging mechanism, UV 2908 provides antioxidant activity both during thermal processing and at moderate elevated temperatures. Also, CYASORB UV 2908 . light stabilizer synergizes well with UV absorbers and anti- oxidants which function as hydroperoxide decomposers. Excellent compatibility, low color contribution, low volatility and low toxicityarekey advantages of CYASORB UV 2908 light stabilizer. CYASORB UV 2908 light stabilizer is recommended for applications such as pipe, crates, drums, seating, auto, marine, garden, and recreational products. Its low reactivity makes CYASORB UV 2908 light stabilizer well suited for those fiber and molded polyolefins wh.ere there is concern with the use of HALS stabilizers because of their halogen, siilfur and peroxide reactivity. CYASORB UV 2908 light stabilizer also processes well into highly loaded olefin concentrates for subsequent letdown, eliminating caking and bridging problems normally asociated with concentrates containing 10% or more UV stabilizer. |
