Aminoethyl Phosphinic Acid is part of the Skin whiteners or Skin lighteners class, products which prevent the appearance and reduce the intensity of pigmented spots. The progress recorded in dermatology helps us understand the mechanisms of melanogenesis, at the intracellular level (within melanocytes) as well as the intercellular level. An increased malanogenesis can lead to a local hyper-pigmentation or irregular pigmentation of the skin.

Aminoethyl Phosphinic Acid has melanogenesis-inhibiting effects being involved in inhibiting some stages of the melanogenesis process.
