CaAl is used for deoxidation alloyed and non-alloyed steels, in which the Silicon content is limited. It has been particularly successful when used in deep drawing and heat-resistant steels. Of technical importance is also deoxidation of the slag during the ESR process.
It is also used as the reducing agent for smelting of rare metals. Calcium-aluminum is an inter-alloy in metallurgical industries and plays a role in desulfuration, deoxidization and purification. CaAl alloy is widely used as grid materials in storage battery industry¡£It can be made into CaAl cored wire for deoxidization and desulfurization in steel -smelting.
a. Ca-Al alloy
Specification: Ca:65~80%, Al:35~20%
Size:30-100mm(irregular lumps),3-30mm(coarse ranules)
Packing: Polybags filled argon gas in and then sealed in steel drum.50KG/drum or 150KG/drum
