Properties: mauve crystal, insoluble in water£

insoluble in acetic acid, soluble in dilute sodium hydroxide, soluble in dilute arnmonid water and weak lye. It can make hydroxyhemin in sodium hydroxide solution. Fine sheet crystal, refracted light: steel blue. It does not melt even at 300¡ÆC. |
