Description:Ethyl butyrate is synthesized from the reaction of butyric acid and ethyl alcohol. It is a clear colorless to light yellow liquid with pineapple -like odor.It is soluble in ethyl alcohol, ethyl ether, propylene glycol, non-volatile oils and mineral oils, but almost insoluble in glycerol. The natural product exists strawberry, olive oil and other plant oils.
