2 MBI gives excellent results in Rubber and Nylon Tyre Cord industry as non-staining antioxidant / antiozonant due to it's high stability and purity. Also suitable as a secondary synergistic antioxidant (alongwith amines) for compounds based on natural or synthetic rubber of the types SBR, Polyisopropene, Polybutadiene, NBR, EPR and latex. 2 Mercapto Benzimidazole is also used as an intermediate for the manufacture of the pharmaceutical drug - Lansoprazole."
