ETS-40 represents a complex mixture of products of ortho silicic acid ethyl ether partial condensation. It is a transparent liquid with a light smell of ether, comparatively easily hydrolyzing by water. It dissolves well in toluene, xylene, and completely dissolves in ethanol. in Mechanical Engineering: for production of precise mouldings, for manufacturing rods, as a component of anti-burn dyes in Textile Industry: for anti-shrinking and dirt-repulsing trimming of wool cloths, for reduction of carpet products shrinkage and giving them resistance against rotting in Glass Production: for lightening optical glasses in Ceramic Production: for manufacturing durable and thermally stable masses in Oil Production: for hydralization of boreholes in oil-output in Chemical Industry: for preparation of polyethylsiloxane liquids, oils, organosilicon varnish and enamels in Varnish Industry: as a component for production of drying oil thus improving the technological process and quality of dye obtained based on the drying oil. The time of vegetable oil oxidation with addition of ethylsilicate (5% of the oil mass) decreases by 5-6 hours. The time of drying oil drying drops from 30 to 24 hours. The dye ready for use based on this drying oil does not have a "stick-off" characteristic for drying oil dyes prepared from half-drying oils. |
