Water removal at the final step of production, is one of the most important step in the manufacturing of mechanical assemblies, plastic, electronic and optical parts.
This drying agent HFE-71DS1 has been specially developed for the spot free water removal, to reduce energy consumption and to respect the environment.
This drying agent is based on the hydrofluoroether HFE-7100 and a drying additive.
It is nonflammable, has zero ozone depletion potential(ODP), very low global warming potential (GWP), non toxic and is exempt by the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) from classification as a volatile organic compound (VOC).
HFE-71DS drying agent operates on the water displacement principle.
When wet parts are introduced into the HFE-71DS1 fluid, which owns a high density and a very low surface tension, water is displaced to the surface by gravity.
This process requires a two or three sumps vapor dryer and it offers the capability to remove very small and large amount of water from plastic, glass, metal parts and others. |
