DBP, as a non-toxic plasticiser, is mainly used in polyvinyl chloride(PVC) products to improve their plasticity(or flexibility).
DBP is widely used in China due to its comparatively low price and good application properties.
DBP, with high gelation power, is a good plasticiser of cellulose nitrate(CN).
When used in CN paints, DBP has good softening action, stability, and adhesivity.
DBP is also used as a plasticiser of polyvinyl acetate, alkyd resin, ethyl cellulose, natural rubber, synthetic rubber and organic glass, and is used in paint, printing ink, dye, insecticide, perfume solvent, fabrics lubricating agent and other industries. |
