The high absorption makes YL-PI 907 especially suitable for pigmented UV curing inks and coatings, even in the presence of UV absorbers. The application fields include printing inks (e.g. offset and screen inks etc.), electronic industry (e.g. photo-resister, solder masks etc.), and printing plates. YL-PI 907 has however the important advantage of being much more soluble in organic solvents and monomers. YL-PI 907 may be used alone or in combination with suitable co-initiators, such as thioxanthone. The optimum levels will be influenced through such features as the thickness of the coating, degree of pigmentation, type of media and so on. Suggested application level are 3~6%w/w expressed as a percentage of total formulation. |
