Studies have shown that Phytic Acid inhibits the activity of tyrosinase.

Phytic Acid has a very low pH, and the pH should be adjusted prior to adding it to a formulation.
Adjust the pH of the Phytic Acid to be at around the same pH as the finished product, in order to minimize product instabilities.
