Teflon PTFE 67 |
|
Teflon PTFE 67 is a white powder composed of agglomerate particles. As with other grades of Teflon PTFE(polytetrafluoroethylene) fine powders, it can be lubricated and extruded by pressure alone into long lengths of a coherent, fibrous matrix with useful structural integrity. The low-density extrudate can be used for its unique conformability or processed further, with heat, to produce void-free, solid products. Compared with other grades of PTFE fine powder, Teflon PTFE 67 is a special-purpose resin designed to facilitate the production of high-quality, pigmented electrical tape made by low-to medium-reduction ratio extrusions. Tape products have outstanding color brightness, electrical integrity, thermal endurance, and resistance to flex fatigue. Properly processed products made from unfilled Teflon PTFE 67 provide the superior properties typical of the fluoropolymer resins: retention of properties after service at 260'C(500'F), useful properties at -240'C(-400'F), chemical inertness to nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents, and low friction and antistick surfaces. Dielectric properties are outstanding and stable with frequency and temperature. Sintered products have moderate stiffness and high ultimate elongation. |
