T 40 MTV Silicone Rubber |
|
T 40 MTV Silicone Rubber is a one-part thermal curing system. It is intended for applications where thin flexible films may serve to seal substrates and provide a barrier to a wide variety of environmental conditions. * One part-ready-to-use * High solids content * Good adhesion * Low viscostiy T 40 MTV may be applied manually or with machine using techniques such as spraying, dipping, rolling and spin or curtain coating. When curing film thicknesses of 0.001 inches or less at 190'C the initial temperature should be approximately 150'C for approximately 30 seconds before exposing the film to the higher temperature. This will prevent the formation of bubbles in the film surface due to rapid evolution of volatiles. These conditions and times will vary depending on the film thickness, substrate and its heat absorbing properties. Users are encouraged to evaluate a range of conditions before employing T 40 in full production. |
