Silres SY 231 |
|
Silicone Intermediate Resins which are to be used for coil coating paints must cure quickly and give flexible films, which do not soften under normal climatic conditions. In order to minimize dirt pick-up, the resins should have a low thermoplasticity and be free from low molecular weight, unreactive siloxane components. In this respect, SILRES SY 231 is an ideal intermediate for the preparation of such silicone polyesters. The choice of polyester components is also important. For a conventional polyester based on TMP/IPA/AA the theoretical value for equivalents of hydroxyl excess should be between 6 and 7.5 mVal OH per gram of polyester resin. |
