Antifoam Emulsion SE 21 is a 10% silicone emulsion designed for controlling foam in aqueous systems. Antifoam Emulsion SE 21 contains those ingredients which conform to the FDA requirements as published in the CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
SE 21 can be added easily to most foaming systems as is or by diluting with either water or a portion of the foaming system. In hot systems and in processes where maximum uniformity of the dispersion is required, SE 21 is best diluted with cool water before adding it to the foaming solution. Prior to use, SE 21 should be gently stirred to assure uniformity of the emulsion.
When SE 21 is used directly in food products or for food processing, the amount of silicone permitted can be no higher in concentration than 10 ppm silicone or 100 ppm of SE 21 in the final food product. Please refer to the specific FDA regulations for further information.
