Dispersion Coating
Surfaces should be free from dirt and grease. On some substrates, a primer may be needed for optimum adhesion. POWERSIL 555R is not recommended for use on polycarbonates or acrylates (extruded types) as coating may cause stress cracking. A variety of techniques may be used to apply POWERSIL 555R, including brushing, dipping or spraying. For spray applications, POWERSIL 555R may be thinned with a NAPTHA solvent. All equipment should be cleaned with a solvent after use. A dry coating thickness of 20 mils (0.020 inches) is suggested for maximum protection. Due to the moisture sensitivity of POWERSIL 555R, all containers should be tightly closed when not in use. |
