Release Coating DEHESIVE 636 Release Coating is an addition crosslinkable silicone polymer for use in release applications against pressure sensitive adhesives. This product was designed to provide both fast cure at high line speeds and minimum web temperatures for paper substrates, as well as good cure with low extractables on temperature sensitive film substrates such as low density polyethylene and similar films. At cure conditions less severe than the extremes of very high speed or ultra low temperatures immediate extractables of less than two percent can be easily achieved. The above cure conditions were achieved in situations where there was minimal substrate interference with the platinum catalyst. If severe substrate inhibition of the platinum occurs, the time/temperature cure performance of this or any system can be degraded. CRA 65 can be formulated into the system to provide differential release values. * High quality, batch-to-batch consistency * Low volatiles, minimal oven dusting * Low viscosity for good coverage at low coatweights and minimized misting at the coating head. * Individual components, flexible formulating * Suitable for both in-line and offline processing. * Fast, low temperature cure, no blocking. Cure possible at temperatures below 175¡ÆF * Completeness of cure at low crosslinker levels * Low extractable silicone in final cured film * Effective controlled release additive system with reproducible release properties * Low rise in release values with increasing delamination speed |
