| BS 290 is a solvent-free, oligomeric organosiloxane that reduces with organic solvents to form stable penetrating water repellents. BS 290 was developed to treat a wide variety of mineral substrates including architectural concrete, concrete block, splitface block, pavers, stucco, porous and dense brick, clay tile, and exposed aggregate concrete. It has been found to be particularly effective in commercial applications where high water repellency performance is required. BS 290 can also be used to stop rising damp through damp proof injection into cemetitous walls. BS 290 is not recommended for below grade applications where hydrostatic pressure can be significant. |
