Uvacure 1562 |
|
Hybrid Resin Systems Low viscosity epoxide resins undergo rapid cationic polymerization when exposed to UV light in the presence of a photoinitiator that generates a cationic catalyst. Uvacure 1562 is an acrylate modified cycloaliphatic epoxide containing both acrylate and epoxy functionality which can react by a combination of free radical and cationic mechanisms. Both functional groups can be UV cured by using either an appropriate cationic photoinitiator, or a hybrid free radical/cationic photoinitiator system. Uvacure 1562 combines the fast initial cure and chemical resistance of free radical systems with the post cure and increased adhesion of cationic systems. |
