Uvacure 1534 |
|
Modified Cycloaliphatic Epoxide Resins Low viscosity epoxide resins undergo rapid cationic polymerization when exposed to UV light in the presence of a photoinitiator that generates a cationic catalyst. Uvacure 1534 is a cycloaliphatic epoxide/polyol mixture with an epoxy/hydroxy ratio (EHR) of 1.4 (#epoxide equivalents/#hydroxyl equivalents) which can be combined with other epoxide resins, polyol modifiers, or vinyl ethers to provide a range of cured film properties. Coatings containing Uvacure 1534 generally have excellent flexibility and toughness, and good water resistance. |
