Oakite CrysCoat 2187 is a pale yellow liquid acidic product that produces iron phosphate coatings that range in color from blue to iridescent reddish gold on steel depending upon the amount of coating deposited.
Oakite CrysCoat 2187 is designed for use in the third stage of five stage immersion pre-paint processes to produce a high performance iron phosphate coating on steel, galvanized steel, galvaneal and aluminum.
The coatings developed by CrysCoat 2187 provide superior paint adhesion and corrosion resistance under today's modern finishes It is used in combination with Oakite CrysCoat Adjust OX to maintain precise operating pH.
Oakite CrysCoat 2187 meets the requirements of military specifications: TT-C-490C, Type II, Mil-C-46487, Type I and II(five stages mandatory). |
