Oakite MG 48
MG 48 is a special additive for balancing the composition of tin based electrocoloring solutions.
Its use is determined by the requirements of the electrocoloring solution to achieve the optimum ratio between tin sulfate, sulfuric acid, and the stabilizer additive.
During use, the electrocoloring solution can become imbalanced, which causes the throwing power and tin stability to decrease.
In this condition, a calculated addition of MG 48 produces an effective improvement to both the coloring performance of the solution and tin stability.
MG 48 is compatible with all tin stabilizers available on the market and can be added to any type of electrocoloring bath.
The concentration of MG 48 may be increased by the presence of similar chemicals.
For example, if a SALMIX additive is used, the amount of the stabilizer will be included in the value found by the conventional method of the SALMIX additive.
