Primarily designed for use in single- and two-stage spray washers at energy-efficient temperatures as low as 16'C(60'F), low-foaming Oakite 398 LT effectively removes many moderate soils from metal surfaces.
Included are stamping oils, lapping oils, drawing oils, machining oils, metal chips, finger marks and other fabricating soils.
In addition, Oakite 398 LT imparts, on ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces, a residual, micro-thin, nearly invisible film that guards metal against rust and oxidation between operations, in transit or during temporary storage.(The user should determine the suitability and length of temporary rust protection based on actual conditions in his plant.)
While resisting corrosion, the protective film doesn't interfere with subsequent operations. It's easily removed with an alkaline cleaner.
Used as recommended, Oakite 398 LT is applicable on most metals including steel, stainless steel, zinc, copper, brass and magnesium.
The emulsion detergent also may be used in properly agitated tanks. |
