BOC8451 is a multiply film product designed to protect, prevent moisture and solvent migration and camouflage the edges of a security transparency.
BOC8451 is comprised of a clear AG8451 polyurethane film (.020" thick) which has adhesion promotion incorporated into the polymer for bonding to glass. It then has a layer of black polyurethane (.030" thick). The outer layer is an embossed polypropylene, which imparts an attractive pattern into the film through the autoclave process and releases easily after autoclaving.
BOC8451 is applied to edge of the laminate and secured by tape. Insert the laminate with the BOC8451 secured to the edge into the vacuum bag.
BOC8451, after autoclaving, will impart an attractive diamond pattern into the edge seal. |
