UNI-CAPS are an innovative, new method of preventing leaks, rust and backout of metal roof fasteners. They consist of a coatable aluminum facing backed with a highly adhesive modified butyl. The discs are pre-sized to neatly conform around the fastener head when pressed in place with the UNI-CAPS Sealing Tool. The sealing tool consists of a two-stepped cavity which creates a tight seal around the fastener head, while at the same time seals the perimeter of the disc around the outside of the fastener.
UNI-CAPS were specifically developed as a cost effective, neat and efficient alternative to caulks and mastics for sealing metal roof fasteners. They can be left exposed or can be topcoated as a part of the ROOF MATE System. |
