Clear semi-gloss, water-repellent sealer
MONOCRYL 50 is a pure acrylic water-repellent penetrating sealer. It is formulated with non yellowing Methyl Methacrylate-Ethyl Acrylate copolymer resins to produce long term waterrepellency and weather protection. MONOCRYL 50 is integrally locked into the substrate as a result of its low viscosity and microscopic penetration properties. It will allow moisture vapor to escape from the building interior under a vapor pressure drive while, at the sametime, providing excellent water-repellency on the exterior through the use of hydrophobic resins. MONOCRYL 50 imparts a semi-gloss sheen to concrete and masonry surfaces without darkening or changing the color of most substrates. The appearance is uniform and does not become blotchy when wet even after years of service.
MONOCRYL 50 was specifically developed as a penetrating sealer with water-repellent properties for use on properly prepared above grade smooth or textured concrete, exposed aggregate concrete, glass fiber reinforced concrete, brick, stone, stucco and concrete block (standard, lightweight and pumice). MONOCRYL 50 is not designed to waterproof porous substrates under wind driven rain or other severe conditions as it does not "fill" the surface.It will protect the substrate against atmospheric deterioration with a clear, semi-gloss sheen, which provides water-repellency without disturbing the natural color or texture of the structure. |
