VE 4051 divinyl ether is a low melting solid ester monomer. It is useful for coatings and particularly for powder coating applications. It produces high modulus polymers that show high chemical and water resistance. Under carbocationic conditions it reacts with other vinyl ether oligomers and monomers. It also can be used in free-radical initiated polymerization reactions with acrylates. The low melt viscosity VE 4051 monomer can be incorporated in acrylate/epoxy and/or vinyl ether/epoxy coating systems. * Application Benefits: -Fast cure speed -Improves handling/friability -Increases water resistance -High modulus builder and high temperature resistance. |
