Vented Nailable Base |
|
Rmax Vented Nailable Base insulation is a composite product composed of an OSB top nailing surface, OSB furring strips, combined with a rigid polyisocyanurate foam core resulting in a highly efficient thermal insulation board. The top nailing surface is a 7/16" thick OSB board with five (5) each 3/4" thick OSB furring strips attached. This nailing surface is then attached to the polyisocyanurate foam core. Rmax Vented Nailable Base is superior for use in residential or commercial shingle roofing applications. Vented Nailable Base is applied to the roof structure in order to provide a layer of thermal insulation and a suitable substrate for the application of a variety of shingles available in the market today. Install the Vented Nailable Base with the long dimension of the panel perpendicular to the slope of the roof. Stagger all joints leaving a 1/16" gap between panels for expansion of the wood based nailing surface. Install wood nailers of equal thickness to the Vented Nailable Base at all roof eaves and rake perimeter. |
