WELLGUARD 1897 corrosion inhibitor component is comprised of amido-imidazolines and amides.
* Applications:
WELLGUARD 1897 corrosion inhibitor component is an active base component for formulating oil-soluble corrosion inhibitors for drilling and production applications. It forms a tenacious film on metal surfaces thereby imparting corrosion protection. It tends to have less emulsifying tendencies than similar corrosion inhibiting substances. WELLGUARD 1897 corrosion inhibitor component is usually blended with surfactants and polymeric fatty acids to give commercial formulations. It may also be blended with an appropriate solvent to give refinery corrosion inhibitors, and it may be used in drilling and production formulations. Contact with acids and oxidizing agents should be avoided. |
