WELLGUARD 1318 corrosion inhibitor is an aqueous blend of surfactants and high molecular weight amines.
* Application:
WELLGUARD 1318 corrosion inhibitor is formulated to provide corrosion protection in calcium bromide and zinc bromide brines used for completion and packer applications. It is designed to be completely soluble at all concentrations of these dissolved di-valent salts. When brines are used as completion fluids, it is essential that the corrosion-inhibitor additive remain totally soluble at all levels and temperatures. Standard drilling inhibitors have been found to be unacceptable, because they destabilize the brine, leading to floc formation. This problem is seen especially for brines comprised of zinc bromide. High-quality completion fluids must be free of solids to minimize formation damage and maximize well productivity. |
