|
WELLGUARD 4042 invert mud primary emulsifier is comprised of fatty acids and modified polyamides in an olefin solvent. * Applications: WELLGUARD 4042 invert mud primary emulsifier is a primary emulsifier used for formulating synthetic invert drilling fluids. It provides excellent emulsion stability, excellent oil wetting of the drill solids and good fluid loss control. The olefin solvent in this formulation is the base stock that is used in many commercial synthetics-based drilling fluids. Typical treatment rate of WELLGUARD 4042 invert mud primary emulsifier is 6 -10 lb/bbl mud, depending on the desired rheological properties and other components of the drilling fluid. It is most effective when lime is added at half the WELLGUARD emulsifier treat rate. |
