SAYTEX HP-800A flame retardant, tetrabromobisphenol-A-bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether), is an additive combining aromatic bromine with aliphatic bromine. SAYTEX HP-800A flame retardant is particularly efficient in polypropylene (homopolymer and copolymer) and styrenic-based resins. It is a melting flame retardant with optimal thermal stability. Very effective in PP and in HIPS at low dosage. (Along with the melting characteristics of SAYTEX HP-800A flame retardant, this results in minimal impact on mechanical properties of the resin.) -Good thermal stability. -Usually used with antimony trioxide for maximum flame retardant performance. -Available in granular form. (See data sheet of SAYTEX HP-800AG flame retardant.) * Applications: SAYTEX HP-800A flame retardant is designed for use in PP (homopolymer and copolymer) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) applications, mostly UL94V2. |
