SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant is a high-purity grade of hexabromocyclododecane ground to a fine particle size.
* Applications:
SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant is designed for use in coating applications such as textiles and paints. However, it can also be used in polystyrene foam (EPS) and solid polystyrene with proper processing conditions.
* Benefits and Features:
SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant is a special, fine-particle-size grade of our high-purity SAYTEX HP-900 flame retardant. As such, it has all the advantages of that product in a form suitable for use in applications where ease of dispersion or rapid solubility is required. SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant contains a high amount of aliphatic bromine, which results in a low melting point and high solubility in common solvents. High purity provides higher thermal stability. It is possible to achieve transparent flame retardant formulations with SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant. SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant can be used without the addition of Sb2O3, a SARA 313 material, and SAYTEX 9006L flame retardant is not on the SARA 313 list. High bromine content, low melting point and high solubility result in minimal effect on the mechanical properties of formulated systems. |
