SAYTEX TG-100S flame retardant is a superfine, easily dispersed, high tinctorialstrength grade of antimony trioxide that is especially recommended as a flame retardant for plastics, paper, textiles, paints and polyvinyl chloride. It should be used in conjunction with chlorinated or brominated flame retardants in flameretarded parts, films, sheets, textiles, paper, paints and other products requiring high tinctorial strength or hiding power. To exert a flame retardant effect, SAYTEX TG-100S flame retardant must be used in conjunction with a halogen-containing compound. In polyvinyl chloride plastics, the resin itself provides the halogen in the form of chlorine. In other plastics where halogen is not normally present, halogen sources such as polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated paraffins, chlorinated rubbers or other chlorinated or brominated materials must be added. The amount of SAYTEX TG-100S flame retardant used will depend on the application, the thickness of the final product, the quantity of halogen present
and the flame resistance required. |
