Bactericides And Fungicides.
GEMACIDE LP is a strong bactericide miscible with water and containing wetting agents.
Can be used to prevent the bacterial decomposition of leather caused by high temperatures and alkali media, during a long soaking and softening process.
It also promotes generation of soaking liquor to rehydrate raw material and shortens the soaking period.
Is particularly recommended with air-dried leather.
Is especially effective in preventing the tannage problems perceived after chrome tannage.
Does not contain P.C.P
Is especially effective in neutral and alkali pH (max. pH 10.5)
Starts to react 15 minutes after it is added to the bath and preserves its activity during 72 hours.
Normal dilution ratio is 1:10 in soaking process.
The diluted solution of GEMACIDE LP should be added to the soaking liquor gradually.
It should be applied at 0.1-0.3 % of raw hide weight in wetting and softening baths. |
