Vulcabond MD
Vulcabond MD product is direct bonding agent to improve the adhesion of PVC plastisols to polyester, nylon and other synthetic fibre fabrics.
Vulcabond MD is a solution of isocyanurate trimer in di-isononyl phthalate (DINP).
The advantage of this product compared with the other Vulcabond additives is that of a reduction in volatility. A prime consideration with regrad to the handling of thesse bonding agents is their viscosity and it is for this reason that the trimer content in the phthalate carrier is limited to 20% in Vulcabond MD.
The bond stregth between the plastisol and the fabric is maintained by increasing the addition level of this product to 4-5% of the total formulation.
