FR-1025M is a brominated flame retardant monomer available in powder form.
It is unique in being polymerizable via the reactive processing route on commercial compounding equipment and can be reacted in many systems by homo and copolymerisation.
Use of FR-1025M via reaction molding in engineering thermoplastics including PBT, polycarbonate, nylon 66 gives polymers reaching flammability standard UL94 V-O while maintaining good mechanical and physical properties.
FR-1025M has good thermal stability and excellent shelf-life.
It improves the compatibility of the polymer matrix with the glass reinforcement and acts as a processing aid. |
