OMC 2, oligomeric fatty acid, is effective in lowering rheological properties in oilbased fluids.
OMC 2 is recommended for fluids containing organophilic clays or large quantities of drilled solids.
Although OMC 2 was specifically designed for the PETROFREE system, it is effective with any oil-based system.
*Applications/Functions: OMC 2 can be used to reduce the yield point and gel strengths of oil-based drilling fluids.
