LIQUI-DRIL is a formulated blend of surface active agents that effectively reduce the
interfacial tension between clay solids and has a film forming action on the surface of
metals. It was designed to increase drill rates with high torque PDC and diamond bits
in water base fluids. LIQUI-DRIL coats hydratable drill cuttings and metal surfaces
to reduce their ¡°sticking¡± tendency. This promotes higher ROP and reduces gumbo
attacks.
*Applications/Functions: Reduces bit balling, clays adhering to BHA, Increases ROP by improving bit cleaning, Strong surface acting agent to reduce ¡°clay sticking¡±
*Advantages: Reduces friction, Increases drill rates by preferentially wetting the bit teeth and drilling string to reduce torque which allows for high rotating speeds and high bit weights, Increases bit life and reduces drill pipe and collar wear in high angle wells, Minimized differential sticking by wetting the drill string and filter cake, Reduces overall well cost by reducing drilling days, reducing stuck pipe and twistoff, Effective in all water base drilling fluids and stable to 350'F(177'C), Environmentally acceptable for use offshore and onshore, Compatible with all water base fluids. |
