LE VIS is a proprietary additive used to provide suspension to invert emulsion systems
on initial mix to minimize the use of organophilic clays. A secondary function of LE VIS
is to increase the electrical stability of inverts.
*Applications/Functions: LE VIS is used to provide suspension in PETROFREE LE, INVERMUL and ENVIROMUL while shipping the mud.
The use of LE VIS minimizes the use of organophilic clays which prevents excessive riser viscosities in deepwater and allows for better control of rheological properties after initial displacement.
LE VIS can be used for hole cleaning sweeps.
