LE MUL, a blend of oxidized tall oil and polyaminated fatty acid, is a basic ingredient of Baroid's PETROFREE LE drilling fluids.
LE MUL stabilizes the emulsion, aides suspension properties, and reduces filtration.
LE MUL is used with lime to produce a calcium soap emulsifier in-situ.
*Applications/Functions: Form stable water-in-oil emulsions, Lower filtration rates Impart high temperature stability to PETROFREE LE fluids.
*Advantages: Can be added directly to the system, Resists electrolyte contamination, Thermally stable at temperatures greater than 500'F(260'C) |
