EZ-SPOT is a concentrated blend of emulsifiers, lubricants, and viscosifiers.
When added to base oil and mixed with water, EZ-SPOT forms a stable invert emulsion that can be added to help free differently stuck pipe.
Densities of pills formulated with EZ-SPOT can be increased with additions of barite, hematite, or other common weighting agents.
EZ-SPOT pills can also be used as spacers between oil-based drilling fluids and cements.
*Applications/Functions:
- Formulate a pill to help release differentially stuck pipe.
- Prevent interfacial thickening of oil-based mud and cement during cementing.
- Emulsify water into oil-based fluids.
*Advantages: Thermally stable at temperatures up to 400'F(205'C), Can be formulated with varying oil/water ratios, Liquid concentrate for ease of addition, Easily weighted with any weighting agent. |
