EZ-CORE, a refined tall oil fatty acid, can be used as a passive emulsifier in all-oil coring and drilling systems.
EZ-CORE forms an emulsifier only with lime or calcium oxide when water is present.
If no water is available, EZ-CORE remains inactive and does not function as a emulsifier.
*Applications/Functions: Provide in-situ emulsification of contaminating water in all-oil coring and drilling fluids, Maintain stable fluid properties without using strong emulsifiers or surfactants
*Advantages: Minimizes changes in formation wettability, Provides native-state cores, Effective in small concentrations. |
