Baravis
BARAVIS is a nonionic hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) polymer.
It is designed to viscosify fresh water, sea water, and the following brines:
- Calcium chloride, Potassium chloride, Sodium chloride, Potassium bromide, Sodium bromide
*Applications/Functions: Clean the hole while milling or underreaming, Viscosify carrier fluids used for gravel packing, Lower fluid loss into the formation, Prepare spacer for displacement.
*Advantages: Completely soluble in water and in all brines except calcium bromide (CaBr2) and zinc bromide (ZnBr2) brines, Develops a smooth, uniform viscosity, Minimizes formation damage, Enables solids to be removed easily because BARAVIS does not develop gel strengths, undesirable solids settle quickly and can be removed at the surface, Acid soluble.
Appearance: White to tan powder
Bulk density, lb/ft3: 32-38
