BARACOR 95, a liquid amine compound, is a highly active inhibitor which combats the effects caused by carbonates and CO contamination.
It can be used as an 2 alternative treatment for lime, particularly in polymeric systems such as THERMADRIL high temperature water-based system, EZ-MUD water-based PHPA system, TM and starch muds that may be pH sensitive.
*Applications/Functions: Treat carbonate contamination in water-based systems at bottomhole temperatures up to 350'F(175'C), Remove small quantities of hydrogen sulfide gas from solution.
Note: BARACOR 95 is not recommended for treating large influxes of hydrogen sulfide because the chemical reaction is reversible.
