Hylar MP20/20-1 |
|
Hylar PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a partially fluorinated polymer which offers a combination of the properties of an engineering thermoplastic and a fluoropolymer. Hylar PVDF has the chemical resistance, thermal stability, dielectric properties and ultraviolet resistance of a fluoropolymer and the mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and processability of an engineering thermoplastic. Fully fluorinated polymers such as Algoflon PTFE, Hyflon PFA, and Hyflon MFA, have a broader chemical resistance and higher temperature ratings. However, there are many cases where the properties of Hylar PVDF can meet the application requirements at a lower cost. |
