* Applications: Tinuvin 101 provides excellent light protection to polyurethane systems such as microcellular and integral sikn foams, traditional rigid, semirigid and flixeble foams, fabric coatings for synthetic leather, but also to some adhesives, sealants and elastomers. The product can also be used in other polymeric systems where a liquid light stabilizer is preferred. * Features: The liquid UV absorber Tinuvin 101 is easily and homogeneously miscible with both polyester and polyether polyols and is highly soluble in many solvents. It shows good compatibility with isocyanates as well as with other additives used in polyurethane systems. Tinuvin 101 has a very strong absorption especially in between 300 and 330 nm of the UV-spectrum where UV radiation is in particular degradative for polyurethane systems. It can be used alone but due to its special absorption characteristics it is especially well suited to be used in combination with other possibly needed components of a stabilizer system such as hindered amine light stabilizers, other UV-absorbers, phenolic antioxidants, phosphites and benzofuranones. |
