Disperbyk-2150
Solution of a block-copolymer with basic pigment affinic groups
Disperbyk-2150 prevents reflocculation of pigments through steric hindrance and therefore stabilizes the color strength and hue of pigments in paints and pigment concentrates.
Disperbyk-2150 improves pigment wetting, reduces the time required for the grinding process and improves gloss and levelling.
Viscosity is reduced and thixotropy is avoided. The additive charges the pigments equally and therefore prevents possible co-flocculation of different pigments.
Due to its high molecular weight and resin-like structure, Disperbyk-2150 does not influence paint binder durability.
Additional to the desired pigment stabilization, Disperbyk-2150 reduces the millbase viscosity significantly, thus enabling the formulation of highly filled pigment concentrates without any problems.
Disperbyk¢ç-2150 shows excellent compatibility with all common paint binders and is recommended especially for pigment concentrates, for wood and furniture coatings and industrial coatings.
