Disperbyk-2001 |
Modified acrylate block copolymer |
The high molecular weight Disperbyk¢ç-2001 deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments. It provides electrical charge to pigments and thus avoids possible co-flocculation of pigments that are not equally charged. Due to the small particle sizes of the deflocculated pigments, high gloss is achieved and color strength improved. Additionally, transparency and hiding power are increased. The additive reduces viscosity, subsequently, levelling is improved and higher pigment loading is possible. Disperbyk-2001 has similar properties as Disperbyk-2000. In many systems, the use of Disperbyk-2001 leads to an even stronger reduction of the millbase viscosity. Disperbyk-2001 has a higher solid content than Disperbyk-2000. |
